National Chung Cheng University — Common questions about giving

1
Can I specify the purpose of my donation?
Donation purpose
Yes, you can. Please check the 'Donation Purpose' section on the donation form and specify the particular department, organization, event, scholarship, etc., for which you would like your donation to be used. We will allocate the funds according to your wishes.

If you do not specify a purpose, the donation will be used to support the development of CCU.
2
I would like to make a long-term regular donation to National Chung Cheng University. How can I do this?
Recurring giving
Long-term regular donations are only accepted via credit card. Please authorize your credit card through the 'donation form.' After filling out the form, send it by registered mail or fax it to our Secretary Office Media and Public Relations Center. The amount will be charged to your card at the beginning of each month.

3
How can I make a donation from the United States?
International giving
Our university collaborates with the U.S. nonprofit organization Give2Asia, allowing you to make online donations through Give2Asia. Receipts issued by them can be used to legally deduct from your income tax in the United States.

Can donations to CCU be tax-deductible?
Tax deductions
According to current tax laws, donations made by businesses or individuals to public schools may be considered donations to the government and can be included as expenses for the current year, with no monetary limit. Therefore, donations made by individuals or businesses to our university's funds, for which the university issues an official receipt, can be fully deducted from the current year's income tax declaration, regardless of the amount. However, any portion exceeding the total income for that year cannot be carried over to the next year's deductions.

To facilitate donors in completing their tax reporting, our university supports the National Taxation Bureau's 'Electronic Documentation for Individual Income Tax Deductions.' If you would like assistance in uploading your donation information to the tax bureau, please be sure to provide your personal identification number. We will upload the previous year's donation data in February of the following year, and this information will be automatically imported during the annual income tax declaration.
5
What should I do to reissue a lost receipt?
Receipt reissue
If your donation receipt is accidentally lost, please contact our Secretariat Media and Public Relations Center and provide your relevant information. After verifying your identity, we will promptly send you a copy.
